26 Jan Rose Taumoeanga – Pink Ribbon Street Appeal
On the 14 October, our family were out collecting in Onehunga for the Pink Ribbon Street Appeal.
In the past years, the Pink Ribbon Appeal has always fallen on the last Friday of the school holidays, so we normally have all my nieces and nephews to help us with the collections, Â we normally cover two locations.
This year however, it fell on the first week back to school for the kids…so, we only had a couple of my nieces, my daughter and our newest recruiters my grand nephews who are 4 years old Elly and 11 month old Maka.
This year we met a woman who have been cancer free for over 15 years so it’s very encouraging to hear some positive stories from some cancer survivors.
This year marks our 6th year as part of the PINK RIBBON street appeal. Â In loving of our daughter, sister, aunt and mother: Â Elina Vainikolo-Uia 1975-2012.
